You pay the food truck's price — that's it. Whatever the food truck charges for your event, that's what you pay. Cateit adds nothing on top. No booking fee, no service charge, no commission passed back to you in any form.

Why free? Because we don't take a cut

Most booking platforms take a cut somewhere — either charging the caterer a commission (which gets built into the price they quote you), adding a service fee at checkout, or both. Either way, you end up paying more than the food truck's actual rate.

Cateit is a new platform and we're not taking a cut right now. That means the price a food truck lists on Cateit is the price you pay — the same as if you'd found them yourself and called them directly. No markup, no middleman cost.

Will it always be free?

Possibly not — at some point the platform needs to sustain itself. But we'll be open about it when that changes, and we're committed to keeping any future fees as low as possible. For now, you're getting the best available price on every booking.
